t. Boniface is the Catholic Church in Weddel, a district of Cremlingen in the district Wolfenbüttel in Lower Saxony. It is a branch church of the parish Heilig cross with seat in Veltheim (Ohe), and the youngest church in the deanery Braunschweig of the diocese Hildesheim. The church named after St. Boniface is located in Ahornallee 1 (corner Döhrenstraße).
On November 17, 1990, the foundation stone was laid by General Vicar Heinrich Schenk (1929-1996). On November 9, 1991, the inauguration followed, also by Heinrich Schenk. In addition to the hl. Boniface was the St.. Liborius as the second patron saint of the church intended. Initially, the church belonged to the parish of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus in Cremlingen. At this time, about 1,100 Catholics belonged to the parish of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, about 480 of them lived in Weddel. Previously, Weddel held Catholic worship in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Christ.
Since 1 November 2006, the church belongs to the parish of Holy Cross, since the parish of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus was repealed at this time and the parish of Holy Cross was connected.
