The Acquacheta is the most important tributary of the Montone and before reaching San Benedetto in Alpe it makes a jump of over 70 meters.
The striking beauty of the Acquacheta waterfall is due to the spectacular jump and the particular arrangement of the waters, which descend on an imposing rocky outcrop with stratified steps with a succession of small water jumps and steep slides.Even the Lavane waterfall, which is immediately after 100 m, that of the Acquacheta is a suggestive sight: the water falls, swooping down a smooth rocky wall, into an almost circular body of water, very deep and colored bright green, bordered by rocks creating a spectacular natural pool.
