The Imperial Cemetery of the Abbey Marienstatt in the Westerwald is a bit hidden in the monastery Marienstatt and is not so well known. A stone cross about 500 meters northwest reminiscent of the French Revolutionary Wars from 1793 - 1797. During this time, the Monastery Marienstatt served as a military hospital. Around 600 soldiers died here and were buried nearby in the soldiers cemetery. On the way back to the parking Marienstatt worth the detour to the soldiers cemetery and the castle ruin Frohneck. There begins the new path to "monastery walk" it is a small trail of 2 km and you arrive again at the large parking lot.
