Historische Brücke Hartmannshain

Not far from the former Hartmannshain station, which at 577 m above sea level was once the highest station in Hesse, is this historic stone arch bridge over the former railway line of the Oberwaldbahn. While peaceful cyclists cross under the bridge on the Vulkanradweg, the preservation or the discussed demolition of this heritage-protected railway bridge stirs the spirits. An association has emerged from a citizens' initiative that is committed to maintaining the bridge: hartmannshainer-bruecke.de
