Mountain Biking Highlight
Built in 1842, the Fritzdorfer Windmill, also called Windmühlenturm Fritzdorf, stands 259 meters above sea level on the hill "Scheid", the highest spot between the county and Wachtberger Ländchen on the border to Rhineland-Palatinate. The still-preserved tower of the mill is considered a landmark of Fritzdorf, from him the view extends - assuming clear weather - far into the Eifel and Cologne Cathedral.
The location of the mill is said to have been a Celtic refuge and a Roman watchtower.
