It is amazing how high such a small central mountain range as the Odenwald can be.

Hi everyone, I've been to this vantage point too! From here you can walk (or cycle!) to the Neunkirchnerhöhe and take a break at the Kaiserturm. Here, in the middle of the forest at the highest tower in the Odenwald, there are always drinks and homemade cakes at the weekend - many other hikers and cyclists also meet there! If you follow the J1 path from the car park, you will get right to the tower!
Or you can walk over the Rhodensteiner ruins and the Wildweibchenstein, past the "Kleines Felsenmeer" up to the "Freiheit" - then over the green Planweg to Laudenau to the stop in the Laudenau valley (very good home cooking and coffee and cake!) By the way: On the Freedom is a vinegar manufactory with homemade vinegars and jams for sale - also at the small stand in the parking lot! This valley and the district are steeped in history, there is something to discover everywhere! Marion wishes you lots of fun, good weather and a good mood
PS.: Freedom is called that because in the Middle Ages the rabble met and slept here on this piece of land, no count or feudal lord was allowed to enter this place - they were safe from access - interesting, oser?
