The "Colormaster R" (odgau) has been in the Rodau Park in Jügesheim since September 26th, 2020. The creator is Manuel Franke from Düsseldorf.

The work of art is eight meters long and weighs many tons. It consists of segments made of concrete and corrugated iron. Each concrete segment alone weighs three tons.

The sky-blue concrete parts were poured in the Kleemann concrete factory in Rollwald. These concrete parts form the base for the sail made of bent corrugated iron.

I like the colorful and dynamic nature of this spatial intervention, and also how it pleasantly divides the long Rodau Park.

The guest performance of the work of art "Colormaster R" in Jügesheim's Rodaupark is coming to an end. Artist Manuel Franke (Düsseldorf) has found a new location for his expansive sculpture. The installation made of corrugated iron and concrete will soon be relocated to Neukirchen-Vluyn (North Rhine-Westphalia), a town with 27,000 inhabitants.
