The Deutsches Eck is an artificially heaped headland in Koblenz at the mouth of the Mosel in the Rhine. In 1897 a monumental equestrian statue of the first German Emperor Wilhelm I was erected here, which was designed as a memorial to the German Reich in 1871. The Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial commissioned by the Rhine Province was in the tradition of many memorials erected between 1888 and 1918 in German-speaking countries
The Deutsches Eck is the landmark of the city of Koblenz and a major attraction for tourists. On the left bank of the Rhine branch here the Rhine plants (Konrad-Adenauer-Ufer), on the right bank of the Mosel the Peter-Altmeier-Ufer ab.Wikipedia

At the Deutsches Eck in Koblenz, the Moselle flows into the Rhine. In 1897 a monumental equestrian statue of the first German Emperor Wilhelm I was erected here, which was designed as a memorial to the German Reich in 1871. The equestrian statue destroyed in the war was reproduced in 1993 and put back on the pedestal, which until then served as a memorial to German unity.

Great view of the opposite side of the Rhine and the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle. On sunny good days unfortunately very crowded.
