The Kolborn Chapel is a pretty, small half-timbered chapel and a great photo opportunity.

The first chapel was built or donated here in 1474 by the Knesebeck family. The construction of today's chapel began in 1616, but was apparently not completed until years later (unfortunately I couldn't find more precise data for this). In the 30 Years War (1618 to 1648) the chapel was probably badly damaged and later repaired. The chapel bell (from 1677) used to be attached to the west gable of the chapel, now it hangs in a free-standing wooden bell carrier that stands in front of the chapel.
