Hiking
Forest N is 4.5 hectares in size. Volunteers from Natuurpunt have worked in recent years on the construction of footbridges over ditches, the placement of information boards and the construction of a signposted footpath. Together with local schools, thickets with regional and autochthonous shrubs were planted on the edges of Bos N. (Website Natuurpunt)

Hiking
Bos N is a filled-in clay quarry that was predestined as a residential expansion area. Actions of the local Working Group Trees in Boom ensured that the Boom municipal council decided in 1998 to largely convert Put N into a nature reserve. Put N became Bos N and since 2008 the management of the area has been in the hands of Natuurpunt.
