A small circular walk with plenty to keep you entertained, Sourmilk Gill, Buttermere village, a rock formed tunnel.. etc

As one of the few lakes that you can walk all the way round, Buttermere is definitely worth a visit. At just over four miles, it is an easy-going walk at the foot of some spectacular fells, including Wainwright's favourite Haystacks.

One of my favourite lake loops in Lakeland. Perfect for both running and walking. The tunnel adds a bit of excitement and the view across to Fleetwith Pike is my favourite
