Bike Touring Highlight
Under King Max I of Bavaria, the castle housed the Marktbreit district court. During National Socialism, the building served as a labor camp from 1934 to 1945. After the war, the facility was used as a school building and city library. After the general renovation in 1994, the city set up a café and a wine bar on the ground floor, the city library is on the first floor, the Red Cross, the youth, singing and music school Marktbreit e.V. and a multi-purpose room are on the second floor.
