Hiking Highlight
The Zingst pier is a pier in Zingst on the Baltic Sea. A previous building, a footbridge, was ready for demolition in 1947 due to storms and ice drift. The new pier, 270 meters long and 2.50 meters wide, was inaugurated in May 1993.

A pier has been decorating the popular holiday resort of Zingst on the Fischland Darß peninsula since 1993. With a length of 270 meters and a width of 2.5 meters, it is the unmistakable focal point on the Baltic Sea beach compared to its predecessor.
Until 1947 there was a small jetty at the same place, which could no longer be used and was torn down: snow and ice had ravaged the jetty.
