In September 1944, one of three aircraft of the German Wehrmacht crashed at this point during a training flight. Probably the aircraft came from the flight school Herzogenaurach. They practiced dives to slip off shortly before the ground. The crashed plane had ground contact, overturned and hit at this point. The pilot was killed.
