Absolutely scary climb to the Zugspitze. That such a path is considered an official hiking trail to the summit is absolutely outrageous. The "path" is simply a scree fan where you take one step and slide two down again because the stones are so loose. Please plan enough time and good footwear and, if possible, pack hiking sticks
