The Ursuline monastery is the only remaining monastery in Erfurt. The first Ursulines came to Erfurt in 1667. Prince-Bishop Johann Philipp von Schönborn gave them the almost empty convent of the Magdalenerinnen am Anger with the task of educating and educating girls. The Ursulines have been working in this place for 350 years and have initiated and promoted diverse educational projects.
