The Koker windmills used to determine the landscape in the Marschlanden. This comes from Ochsenwerder. They were formerly used as scooping and drainage mills and replaced by modern pumping stations at the end of the 19th century.
The Kokerwindmühle is a Dutch development of the Bockwindmühle and is considered a forerunner of the Dutch mill.
