Heringsdorf's attraction is the second longest pier in Europe, opened in 1995, with 508 (!) Meters. On it is a complete shopping and leisure complex, to the end even a jetty. The bridge was built in just 12 months.

Predecessor of today's pier, was built from 1891-1893 500 m long Kaiser Wilhelm bridge made of wood. In 1958 a fire destroyed the old bridge. The new pier was opened in 1995. Almost in the middle, in the pyramid building is a restaurant.
