Road Cycling Highlight
The Big Island Mountain is with 916,5m altitude "only" the fourth highest independent mountain of the Thuringian Forest, but the highest, whose summit is accessible by road bike. The last 1600m it goes over a steep cobblestone street. But the effort is worth it for the beautiful view.
If you are looking for an even bigger challenge, you should try the driveway on the paved trail with a gradient of up to 33%: komoot.de/highlight/483060
