Located between the main station and the Outer Alster, the Atlantic is one of the most renowned hotels in Germany and regularly hosts celebrities - above all Udo Lindenberg.
White façade, ornate balustrades, waving flags and the legendary globe on the roof, which is dyed green with patina: The manorial structure of the hotel has been shaping the banks of the Alster Lake since 1909.
Not far from the main station, the inner alster and the shopping streets of the Hanseatic city, the listed building is in a prime location - so good that even the creators of the "James Bond" films did not pass by and the agent, played by Pierce Brosnan, was full of action "Tomorrow never dies" allowed the roof dome to climb.
The Hotel Atlantic is firmly in Hanseatic hand. Managing director of the house is the native of Hamburg Franco Esposito, who took over the hotel in early 2016. It is not his first engagement in the Atlantic: Esposito worked for the hotel from 1983 to 1985 and was trained as a hotel clerk during that time. Thus, the former apprentice returned to the Alster as boss and took over the Atlantic from Peter Pusnik, who had previously headed the hotel for eight years. Under Pusnik, the hotel was completely refurbished in 2012 and thus meets the highest standards - as it has since the opening.
