Atlantic Hotel

The Hotel Atlantic Kempinski in Hamburg was opened in 1909 as Grand Hotel for the passengers of the Hamburg-America line. Since October 4, 2010, the building is a listed building. Today, the Hotel Atlantic belongs to the Kempinski Group.Built as a grand hotel for first-class passengers large luxury liner from overseas, the Hotel Atlantic established itself early as a social meeting place of Hamburg. This includes many dancers who have already met on the historic parquet floor of the hotel. The Hotel Atlantic is firmly in Hanseatic hand. Managing director of the house is the native of Hamburg Franco Esposito, who took over the hotel in early 2016. It is not his first engagement in the Atlantic: Esposito worked for the hotel from 1983 to 1985 and was trained as a hotel clerk during that time. Thus, the former apprentice returned to the Alster as boss and took over the Atlantic from Peter Pusnik, who had previously headed the hotel for eight years. Under Pusnik, the hotel was completely refurbished in 2012 and thus meets the highest standards - as it has since the opening.
