Almost like a city palace, the huge building of the Fugger shapes the Schweizerberg. The Fuggerbau received its great historical significance only during the Thirty Years' War. In the summer of 1630, the headquarters of Generalissimo Wallenstein was here for four months. In memory since 1980, the Wallenstein Games are held. King Gustav Adolf of Sweden, the evang. Opponent Wallenstein, quartered himself in 1632 briefly in Fuggerbau.
