The Königsworther Bridge in Hanover is considered one of the most beautiful bridges in the city. Her sculptor Carl Dopmeyer created her four magnificent candelabras. The listed segmental arch bridge crosses the line in the Calenberger Neustadt as part of Königsworther Straße.
In 1889, the Lindener Straße was created as a direct connection from Königsworther Platz to Linden (the street was renamed in 1905 after the former village). For this purpose - by a builder no longer known today - the bridge over the leash was built until 1890 as a flat, natural stone-arched single-arch bridge with a charming, openwork railing.
It was not until 1898 that the bridge received its four coppered magnificent candelabra by Carl Dopmeyer as a special ornament. They show classic mythical creatures of the sea and are richly decorated with vegetal forms.
