Alfons Horn and his friend Hermann, along with other friends, regularly walked around Lake Baldeney, even past the lookout point. He did not have a name at the time. But Hermann always stopped there and invited the friends to enjoy the great view. When Hermann died in 1993, the friends first planted a tree at the lookout point. But the tree has been cut down several times so that it does not obstruct the view and has come in at some point. In 1996 the friends painted the name "Hermannsblick" on the wall. Since then, the name stands on the wall and is now part of the circular route Schellenberger forest.
