Beautifully situated and rewarding lake, which can be well circumnavigated. To the lake belongs to parts of the Berlin Wall Trail with a turbulent history from times of the Cold War. A memorial booth with information informs about a flight story. Nearby there is the Sacrow Castle Park with two other attractions. Who wants to translate from Wannsee by ferry has two options with very different travel times (please inform in advance): either with the Potsdam water taxi from Krughorn or the BVG ferry from Wannsee to Kladow and then 4.5 km hike south.

Directions from Potsdam via Krampnitz, Sakrower parking.
We walked around the lake on the left and got out in Sakrow. On the way to the water on the other side, you pass a small restaurant.
At the Sakrower Schloss there is a beer garden, which unfortunately went into the winter break yesterday.
From the castle, it goes to Heilandkirche and from there this wonderful round ends at the parking lot.
The way back we started by car via Kladow, Gatow and Havelchaussee.
There you may drive only 30, but you pass the Grunewald tower (opposite is a beer garden) and a bit further you can make a detour to the small island Lindwerder (very delicious food).
In Wannsee we wanted to deny Currywurst and Pommes on Spinnerbrücke to watch some cool bikes.
Perfect weather, perfect trip, perfect day.
