Bike Touring Highlight
In the historic mill of Sanssouci (historische-muehle-potsdam.de), which was rebuilt in the 1990s as a reconstruction of the built from 1787 to 1791 Dutch mill, there is a mill museum. In addition, the mill offers a beautiful view over the park. In summer, as is generally the case in Sanssouci, there is a lot of activity, so the eyes are always open when cycling: it's tight around the curve that leads to the mill - and it's always possible to count pedestrians on the road Park half to another. A public toilet is located a short distance below the mill in the direction of the Orangerie next to the souvenir shop.

The windmill at Sanssouci Palace is one of the best-known mills in Germany. Around them entwines the legend that Frederick the Great was disturbed by the clatter of the mill and asked the miller Grävenitz to demolish his mill. However, when the miller threatened with the passage in front of the court, the king complied.
After the original windmill had been demolished in 1738 because of dilapidated and had to be replaced by a windmill Dutch style, the plant was destroyed in the Second World War. Since 1993, the wings of the historic mill of Sanssouci have been visible from afar. It is operated by the Mill Association Berlin-Brandenburg e. V.
