In the castle of Hachenburg is housed the university of the Bundesbank (or one would have to say: it resides?)
Since 1980, the Deutsche Bundesbank has been training both its own up-and-coming junior staff at the university and those from the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin).
At semester times, access is also open.

In the morning, the beautiful wrought-iron gate is usually open, otherwise you can see a few meters below in the evening through the vehicle access to the castle grounds. Everyone can see the terrain (and it is also worth seeing).
You can not get into the castle, as there is always a normal university business. That means courses, living rooms of the students, offices of the servants, cafeteria, technical rooms, etc.
Incidentally, except "between the years" is always normal operation. There is no semester break there!
