The Westfalenpark Dortmund was opened to the first of the three German gardens (1959, 1969, 1991). On the grounds of the old Kaiser-Wilhelm-Hain, the Buschmühlenpark, a landfill site, former garden colonies and pastures, a park was built, the center of which at the time was the highest German building, the Florianturm, at 220 meters. de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westfalenpark

The Westfalenpark is a great destination, even with (small) children. Beautiful walks, everything is so green and colorful in the summer, there are playgrounds as well as a tourist train. Really worthwhile.

The Westfalenpark with the Florian tower is really worth seeing. Very nice the view from the tower restaurant.
