Mountain Biking Highlight
On the Syberg is a real collection of historic buildings. All together there are remains of three castles, an observation tower and various monuments. Lots to see so up here on the Syburg. Apropos: The view of the Ruhr Valley and the Hengsteysee is also not to be despised. The only stain is the casino, which somehow does not quite fit into the historical eyewitnesses.
A stop on the Syburg is definitely worthwhile, if you're already here. All around there are plenty of beautiful mountain bike trails, which often offer a great view of the Ruhr and have nothing to do with what many imagine under Ruhrpott.
