Very beautiful old town with many historic buildings, especially the Kaiserpfalz.
In the pedestrian precinct many cafes invite you to linger.

The marketplace is the central square in the historic city of Goslar. It is bordered by numerous important buildings. Probably the most important of these is the town hall built in Gothic style, which houses in its interior the prestigious homage hall with its magnificent paintings. Another striking building is the built in 1494 Kaiserworth, the former guild house of the clothiers. This richly decorated house was supposed to showcase the prosperity and influence of Goslar citizens. There is now a hotel and a restaurant in it.Source: harzlife.de/harzrand/marktplatz-goslar.html

The market square with the town hall is surmounted by the uneven towers of the Marktkirche. The great importance of the market well is obvious: it marks the center of the market place and thus of the city, it is crowned by the landmark Goslar, the eagle.

Christmas market is a special highlight in the marketplace. At the full hour there is also a historical music box with a puppet show. Worth seeing.

Goslar's Old Town, which is still largely surrounded by ramparts and greenery, is one of the most important preserved historic cities in the world. The Goslar Goslar, built on a medieval ground plan, is particularly characterized by the unusually large stock of approx. 1,500 half-timbered buildings from the 15th to the 19th century Marked. The charming cityscape with its narrow streets, towering over the mighty towers of the Romanesque church. In addition to these, the Imperial Palace, the town hall and the city fortifications are also the hospitals and the large, dating back to the 12th Century number of medieval stone houses, the so-called Kemenaten, of great appeal.harzinfo.de/kultur-pur/kulturerlebnisse/unesco-welterbe-im-harz/rammelsberg-goslar-obh-wasserwirtschaft/altstadt-goslar.html

After 5 hours hiking, of which the last 2 in the pouring rain, I was looking forward to Goslar. Excellent old town, which has its ambience despite the bad weather viewed. Since I was familiar with Goslar from previous visits, I am directly to the station. After 30
Walking days from Rügen to Goslar via Potsdam I finally wanted to go back home to my family. Unfortunately, there are no toilets on the railway. Moving to the rainy weather possible only in the hall in amazed audience.
