The sculpture "Sail", created by Olaf Taeuberhahn, can be found on the banks of the Main in Klein-Krotzenburg above the Krotzenburg barrage. It was set up in 1986 on the occasion of the commissioning of the new barrage by the Federal Waterways and Shipping Administration.
"Through her three sails, the sculpture symbolizes the connection of the Rhine - Main - Danube waterways. At the same time, it is reminiscent of the turbine wheels of the former Krotzenburg river power station. »The Berlin-born artist Olaf Taeuberhahn (1935-2002) lived in Karlstadt-Gambach. In 1974 he began to work in sculptures with minimal surface.
