Hiking Highlight (Segment)
Before reunification, it passed through the Invalidenfriedhof, after which it was partly reconstructed on the basis of a private initiative (Förderverein). Originally it belonged to a home for war disabled (invalid) and was located far outside the gates of the city. Later, famous personalities, not just the military, were buried here. Probably the most famous grave belongs to the Prussian military reformer Scharnhorst.
