This not too large part of the Schwalm between the German town of Brüggen and the Dutch town of Swalmen has been partially renatured and partially natural. This piece of Schwalm is rightly one of the most beautiful sections of the river. The flora and fauna are 100% in harmony with nature. Only the people bother a little sometimes.

The Schwalmbruch is absolutely worth seeing. On the last stretch (depending on the direction of walking) on the German side to Swalmen on the Dutch side, the river meanders through nature. One of the WaWaWe premium hiking trails also runs here. Beautiful.

Exactly the right place to see a piece of nature ...
The Schwalm itself was already shaped by human interference, but today it offers a wonderful place to spend an hour or two in nature.
And watch out !: Some paths a bit off the often not completely deserted "hiking street" offer something on top ... So best of all, eyes away from your smartphone and watch out! 😊👍
    A tip for the patient:
With a bit of luck, a beaver can be seen in the twilight
