From the Hohe Sonne there is a good entry point to the Rennsteig and you can drive in both directions.

From here the slope of the route is moderate. You can drive on the Rennsteig in the right direction towards Inselsberg or you can turn around and drive back towards Hörschel to the Werra. Then it's mainly downhill. More beautiful MTB and bike tours, but also hikes are possible from here. For example fraternity memorial, Drachenstein, Drachenschlucht, Landgrafenschlucht, Mosbacher Linde
