In the immediate vicinity (west side) there is a beautiful wooden bench under a willow directly by the water and every 15 minutes there is even a train passing by ... in case you have a short nap?

The Okerwehr near Rüningen is no longer required (2018) to regulate the water level of the Oker and should therefore be dismantled.

On the footbridge next to the bridge there is also a bench for a short break after a long tour.
