The history of the Krosigk windmill probably begins sometime in the 15th century. What is certain is that a feudal letter in 1451 also mentions 2 mills in Krosigk. The assumption is obvious that this is the watermill on the mill pond and the windmill on the mill hill. This is listed in another fief letter from 1467.
Whether destroyed or damaged by the effects of war, fires or storms, it was repeatedly repaired and was in operation until after the end of World War I. In the 1920s, the mill burned down completely, only the foundation stones and a few old millstones remained. Mühlenberg, which was completely bare until 1950, was planted with trees for firewood extraction.
In 1994 the idea arose to convert an old dilapidated post mill from Gollma near Landsberg to Krosiger Mühlenberg. On the Mill Day 1996 the reconstructed mill was again presented to a wide audience.
