Bike Touring Highlight
The Stellmoor-Ahrensburg Tunneltal is particularly interesting from a geological point of view. During the last ice age meltwater flowed down tunnels below the glacier, so that the underground was cut in different degrees. Furthermore, many Stone Age finds were discovered in this area.
Here you can forget the time on landscaped hiking and walking trails. On the Alfred Rust Trail you follow the trail of the first settlers and can use information boards to get a comprehensive picture of the geology and archaeological significance of the tunnel valley.
