The Ochsenkopf between Warmensteinach and Bischofsgrün in the Upper Franconian district of Bayreuth is at 1024 m above sea level. NHN  the second highest mountain of the Fichtelgebirge. Spatially it belongs to the main unit High Fichtelgebirge (394).   Only a little to the east of this mountain, above the village Fichtelberg, spring the White Main as the right or northern source of the Main River and the Fichtelnaab, one of the source rivers of the Naab. This is exactly where the European watershed runs. The Naab flows south towards the Danube, the Main flows west to the Rhine.At the summit is the managed Asenturm tower as a lookout tower and a radio tower for FM, digital radio and digital TV programs of the Bavarian Radio.
