PWV hut at the monster lake.
    Note opening hours.
    Very nice lake.

Even if the hut is not open, the journey by bike is worthwhile. The lake is very beautiful, who likes the nature, comes at his expense. You can use the benches in front of the hut at any time to recharge your batteries before you drive on (or in the Palatinate: ne wine spritzer).

In the lake arise depending on the season great reflections, the picture to pull out is worth it!

Nice, quiet little pond, managed hut (unfortunately closed) with plenty of seating. Rest area at the moment with a frog concert 🐸

The Ungeheuersee is under nature protection and can be completely dried depending on precipitation.

A great stopover for a hike or an MTB tour. Even nicer when the PWV hut is open. There can be a lot going on on Sundays and public holidays. The way from Lindemannsruhe is worthwhile on the MTB.

There is plenty of space to sit and rest even when it is closed.
Lake has no water right now

A great gem in the middle of the forest. Everything here is dry pine forest, so you hardly expect a small lake in the middle of the forest. Very nice. The adjoining hiker's hut is also great. Lots of seating. Perfect for resting.

Unfortunately the hut is closed, lots of benches with a view of the lake, especially now in spring life in the lake begins, toads and ducks are in the mating season

Nice lake with hut. I'm already looking forward to when the hut is open again.

The Ungeheuersee does not have a Nessie, but it is always worth a tour on foot or bike.

The ideal starting point is the car park at Lindemannsruhe via the Laurahütte (my tip: Route 12)

The management via the PWV is more like a lottery game, so I was lucky enough to have been there during opening times.

The outside area is huge, the lake more like a pond ..... I like to be there! Definitely worthwhile
