The Scholl siblings are Hans and Sophie Scholl. Both became known as members of the “White Rose”, a Munich student group at its core that was active in the resistance against National Socialism during the Second World War, particularly in the distribution of leaflets against the war and the fascist dictatorship under Adolf Hitler. From the post-war period to the present day, Hans and Sophie Scholl have been regarded as significant symbols of resistance within Germany against humanitarian values against the totalitarian Nazi regime. This is where the leaflets can be seen on the ground. Very original kind of memory.

So much history in one place ... look at the floor (and not just the beautiful fountains ;-)) when you are walking over the Geschwister-Scholl-Platz and watch out for the leaflets that "still" distribute there lie and remember the uprising and courage of the "White Rose"
