On the back of Tönsberg - near the main ridge leading Hermannsweg - are the remains of the Hünenkapelle. When exactly the small church was built, is not known. It is located in the middle of a "Cheruskische Volksburg" from the 4th century BC, whose ramparts are visible in the grounds. The chapel was dedicated to St. Anthony. In 1548 the chapel was destroyed. The cross of the church was taken to the crypt of Paderborn Cathedral, where it is still kept.Even today, in the ruins of the Hünenkapelle a wooden cross, which was inaugurated in 1977 in a church service.

The Hünenkapelle (also Hünenkirche, Tönskapelle or Antoniuskapelle) on the back of the Tönsberg in Oerlinghausen is the ruin of an early medieval hall church, of which today only the surrounding walls are preserved. It is surrounded by a circular rampart known as the "Sachsenlager".
