Mountain Biking Highlight
Nature reserve "Bissendorfer Moor"The Bissendorfer Moor is a large, tree-free and mostly still arched, near-natural bog of the North German lowland. As is characteristic of Moore, in the center of the area there are open bog areas with the characteristic bog vegetation of bells and broom heaths, narrow-leaved as well as creeping cotton grass and peat mosses. Furthermore, the area is characterized by a dystrophic Moorweiher. In the former peasant hand stitches closed peat moss swinging lawns and peat bark moor forests with a lot of standing and lying deadwood have developed at the edge of the moor.
