The Fleischbrücke is a stone arch bridge over the Pegnitz and connects the districts of St. Sebald and St. Lorenz. Today's bridge dates from 1598 and is one of the most important late Renaissance bridge structures in Germany. The oldest bridge destroyed by flooding is dated around 1200. An adjacent meat house gave the building its name.
