Road Cycling Highlight (Segment)
This wide and very smooth asphalted road has marked bicycle lanes. The name Zeister Spoor has nothing to do with today's railways, but rather with the cart tracks that ran over the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, through forests and heaths. The climb from the intersection with the N-413 takes you past various (former) military sites and bases. For example, you pass the Historical Collection Regiment Technische Troepen Museum on your right, with a collection of historical military vehicles.
The gradient is small, max 3% and usually 1 to 2%, but the road is fine to test your condition and to drive at the highest possible speed (if you feel like it ...). The finish is the viaduct over the A-27!
