From here you have a great view of the surrounding mountains - Jägerkamp, Aiplspitz, Rauhkopf, Taubenstein, Rotwand, Ruchenköpfe, Stolzenberg, Rotkopf, Roßkopf, Stümpfling, Bodenschneid and Brecherspitz. Big mountain cinema!

Not only is the view magnificent - but also a dip in the cool water after a long and strenuous mountain hike ... only a few steps away from the car park there is a small bay where you can easily get into the water. Wonderfully refreshing!

The Spitzingsee is located about five kilometers south of the Schliersee and a few hundred meters south of the Spitzingsattels at 1084 m altitude in the Schliersee mountains, Mangfallgebirge, Bavarian Alps. With 28.3 hectares, it is one of the largest mountain lakes in Bavaria. The sea depth is a maximum of 16.30 meters (south basin). The northern basin is up to 10.4 meters deep. The runoff is the Red Valepp, which merges with the White Valepp at the Kaiserklause (forester's lodge Valepp) and flows into the Tyrol as a ground floor and finally as Brandenberger Ache into the Inn. The Spitzingsee has 7.51 km ² a comparatively large water catchment area.Source: Wikipedia

A dream. Unfortunately always busy on the riverside. Tourists please drive around - and not drive around.
