The Seßlacher Kommunbrauhaus is a curiosity in Germany. Beer has been brewed here under the direction of the city of Seßlach since 1335. Fans swear by the special barley juice, which is bottom-fermented, amber-colored and spicy and tastes so good! Everyone gets beer here if they are willing to pick it up and bring it home in butts, barrels, jugs, canisters or buckets. There are no bottles, there have never been. In the two renowned restaurants, Gasthof Reinwand and Landgasthof Roter Ochse in Seßlach, beer is also served by the Kommunbrauhaus.
