Luogelkin-Viadukt

In spring, when it is still fresh on the north side of the Alps, take the train through the tunnel and the BLS Lötschberg south ramp under your feet.
Leisurely hike towards Brig, which is best done in three stages.
On the way there are many nicely prepared rest areas as well as a small "restaurant".
There is a wonderful view down and up through the Valais everywhere. From time to time you hike along old bisses that carry fresh, cool mountain water.

The Luogelkin Viaduct is definitely a highlight of the hike. You can see very nicely how they torment the heavy freight trains up the 28% steep ramp. Unfortunately, the express trains have disappeared since the tunnel existed.
