Not only the Jews of Aschaffenburg were buried here, but also deceased from the surrounding area

The Jewish cemetery on Erbig was used as an association cemetery by Jewish communities in the area (including Aschaffenburg, Schöllkrippen, Eschau, Großostheim, Hösbach) from the 18th century. The last funeral took place in 1942. Even if the cemetery is closed today to avoid desecration of the grave, it is worth a detour there, also to visualize the German and Aschaffenburg history.
