Jenischpark is a former private landscaped park whose origins go back more than 200 years. Above all, its sometimes ancient tree population, the type of routing, the soil modeling and the diverse, remarkable visual relationships contribute to the uniqueness of the park. Here, cultural values have emerged that are often unconsciously perceived by many park visitors. A large old park is always a retreat for nature, which plays an increasingly important role in the densely built-up city. The gardening department Altona has done a lot in recent years and also from private side the park has been repeatedly supported financially. But there are still many tasks waiting to be done. Preserving and developing the Jenischpark is a big task that still needs many supporters. The Park Care Center, developed for the care and preservation of the Jenischpark, received wide political approval in 1992 and was accepted and welcomed by the recognized nature conservation associations and the Nature Conservation Council.hamburg.de/parkanlagen/3229600/jenischpark
