Mountain Biking Highlight (Segment)
Beautiful view, narrow, idyllic and spectacular trail without railing to the abyss

The Wupper forms the border between Solingen and Leichlingen. The district council Lucas way runs to a good part hard on the abyss. In some places, there are dozens of meters almost vertically down next to the one meter-wide path. Once slipped and the downward movement would end only 50-100 meters deeper in the Wupper. As much as the abysses caution caution, they still offer in many places a great view down to Balkhausen, the Balkhauser Kotten and Glüder.

Adolf Lucas (1862-1945) was a district administrator of the former Solingen district. After the Klingenstadt itself had become independent, Adolf Lucas moved the seat of the district administration of Solingen to Opladen. This is the reason why the Landrat-Lucas-Weg Opladen, already established in the 1930s, connects with the Solingen district of Burg an der Wupper.

Beautiful singletrack, Wupperabwärts varied rise, not particularly steep. Close, beware of hikers and riders.
