Below, between, above all tree tops ... and in any case a good deal closer to heaven. The highest tree-top hiking trail in Europe is in the middle of the alpine town of Rachau, with a view of the surrounding mountains and hills, meadows, forests and church towers in the area. The circular route leads over a massive larch wood construction around 20 m above the forest floor and for 2.7 km via stairs, towers, footbridges and platforms through untouched nature.
Opening times: late April to late October 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Admission: adults € 9, children (6 to 14 years) € 6

The treetop walk in the Rachau is a special highlight for everyone who wants to look high. From the cash register you walk a bit until you reach the highlight. You can only get to the high towers, which are connected with bridges, with a special coin (which you can buy at the cash desk). The different towers and bridges are at different heights. You always have to go up an extra flight of stairs to the towers so that you can see everything. From the top there is a wonderful view of the hills, mountains and the forest.
